You can find LOCAL’s taproom at 35 Sussex Street, Woodstock, Cape Town.
The building is unmissable by our red roller shutter door with our characteristic brandmark, and our blue lightbox. We love it, and hope you will too!
You’ll be greeted by our Insta-fabulous branding set into concrete – if not for the beer, then do it for the ‘Gram. (We’re pretty cringe but give us a break, we’re old Millennials who still use Instagram and have side partings.)
More importantly, you’ll notice what we think may be one of the longest bars in Cape Town, separating the seating area from the brewery itself.
Most of the original building is still intact, with exposed concrete, red brick, and factory windows.
The taproom houses our 6 “taps,” pouring the beers that our brewmaster has made in the last month.
You can get a taste of a variety of beers poured straight from the tank using our state-of-the-art Bottoms Up Beer Dispenser.
If you’re looking for some fresh air, you can enjoy your beer in the dappled sunlight of our courtyard. It’s slowly but surely transforming into a beautiful green space, where we’ll be able to grab our own bar lemons right from the tree.
